Should you Wash Your Hair before Styling it?
I would personally suggest washing their hair the night before their styling session. Oily hair can make the hair heavier to style and greasy looking too! Washing off all the residue will ensure the hair is light and easier to style. After all, who wants to have oily looking hair after its been styled. Amy Chan
Will the Artist at My Trial Be the Same Artist for My Wedding Day?
Most definitely! There is no point in trialing if you're not going to be allocated the same artist who did your trial. Some companies don't do trials so they can allocate whoever is free on their books to your wedding. But in my opinion, if they are assigning you a different artist for the wedding and trial then you should walk away! Most good/well-known companies who have a number of... Read More »
I Never Wear Makeup, Do I Have to Have Foundation, Lashes, Liner?
"Yes, most definitely! You can have a very light coverage if you're not a big fan of makeup. Foundation evens out your complexion, so you look flawless in the professional photos (you paid a lot of money for this, so you want to look good!)As for lashes and eyeliner, they bring out your eyes, you can have a small amount, but without it, your makeup is not complete. It also... Read More »
What Are the Most Popular Lip Colors for Winter?
Definitely something that's a bit darker. Think plum and deeper pinks. But of course you need to make sure the colour suits your complexion rather than the season. If the colour looks good on you, no matter what season it is, you'll look amazing! Amy Chan
I Have Really Fine Hair, What Styles Do You Suggest?
Fine hair is not the issue, your hairstylist should be able to use techniques, products and tools to 'fatten' your hair so you can still get the hairstyle you want (obviously will be a version with your own hair, so it won't look 100% identical to the photo you found on the internet). You can also get padding or even hair extensions to achieve the look you want. I always... Read More »
I Am Getting Married Outside. What Sort of Hairstyle Would You Suggest?
"For upstyle: * choose a whimsical style that is a bit more relaxed with romantic soft strands of hair 'deliberately' coming out of the hair. If it becomes windy and the hair loosens your whole hairstyle still looks like its suppose to look like that. For hair down: * always choose relaxed soft curls over tidy structured hollywood waves. You cannot control the wind (nor the weather) so having the hair too... Read More »
What is the Most Popular Makeup Style for Asian Brides?
The most popular makeup style will have to be the clean flawless look with an emphasis on the eyes. There have been trends that come and go but the most popular in my opinion is still a really beautified version of you. There are small elements of certain features that have evolved in the past years, for example, thicker straighter eyebrows, dewy fresh and glowing looking skin, barely their makeup... Read More »
How Should I Deal With Dry Lips?
"Dry lips can be caused by weather, lifestyle and/or internal dysfunction of the body. Every part of our body tells us what is functioning well and what requires a bit more attention. For a quick fix, leading up to the wedding day, apply ""DMK's Herbal Pigment Oil"" as often as you can. This oil not only moisturises your lips (can also be used on the skin) but also helps to fade... Read More »
Can You Duplicate a Makeup Look From Pictures in a Magazine?
Yes, but please remember it will never be a 100% copy as you need to take into consideration of your own skin texture, complexion, facial bone structures. With all these elements combined, your artist will try and replicate the look with colors that compliment your features but with YOUR features and will experiment what works best for YOU. You should have realistic expectations to avoid disappointment, your artist should communicate... Read More »
My Eyes Always Look Tired. How Do I Prevent This Throughout My Wedding Day?
Ensure you don't drink too much water the night before (try no liquid 2 hours before bed) as this will help reduce fluid retention in your body (and your face). Your makeup artist should not be using really thick heavy eyelashes if this is one of your concerns, big bright eyes can be achieved with different techniques instead of layering on lashes on top of lashes. Also choose colours that... Read More »
How to Prepare In Advance to make Brides Healthy and Slimmer for Wedding Day Makeup?
So basically, the topic you have given me is how to make the bride’s face look slimmer and also the body as well. If they can, for an example, for the face, starts going to a reputable facial place about nine to twelve months before the wedding day. This is because you want to make your skin healthy and glow from within. Your skin actually needs at least three months... Read More »
