What Is Included in the Trial Run?
Usually we do both hair and makeup at the time of the trial, you will have a good idea on how you will look on your wedding day but it's not 100% done. We may try several styles for hair, explore the options. In the end of the day you may change your mind and do something absolutely different on your wedding day, and it's ok. The most important is... Read More »
I Might Have to Use Hair Extensions on My Wedding Day. Will My Hair and Make-up Artist Put Them in for Me Before the Ceremony Itself or Do I Have to Get Them in a Few Days Prior?
It is always a good idea to have hair extension at the time of the trial (if they are clip ons) - so way ahead of the wedding. On the wedding day the stylist puts them in. If they are permanent ones, they should be in already. Alina Karaman
I Am Getting Married Outside. What Sort of Hairstyle Would You Suggest?
Almost all Spring and Summer weddings are held outside, and usually what is expected is some wind and heat! Considering this, I think updo's are more practical - when your hair is pinned, you don't have to worry about it at all! If your hair doesn't hold the curl - it is ok when it is in updo, because it is all pinned, and looks pretty. Think about your whole... Read More »
What is the Suitable Hairstyle for a Thin Hair Bride?
If the bride has thin hair there are still many options to have a great style! For the hair down hair extensions can be used, 2 sets in different colors are great to create the visual volume - playing with color to have the illusion of a highlight, or get ones that are highlighted already. For updo's foams and hair extensions can be used. For parts where we cannot use... Read More »
What Should I Do First on My Wedding Day – Hair or Makeup?
I like to do makeup first because by the time the hair is done (after), the makeup sets, blends into the skin and I can see if touch-ups needed. This works if hair done right after the makeup and then bride gets into the dress. Alina Karaman
When Should I Book for My Makeup and Hair Trial?
I recommend meeting with the stylist 3-4 months ahead. If the trial is not a success, you still have time to find another vendor Alina Karaman
Do I Need to Have a Back-up Makeup Artist in Case My Makeup Artist Ends Up Being a No-show for on My Wedding Day?
If you're working with good established professional, they should have back-up makeup artists themselves. Cancellations at the last second happen only with "cheap" services - when you're booking someone that is very low in pricing, this should be a part of the concern for you - why the price is so low? In case they have "better" or "bigger" booking, they may bail on you. Unfortunately, I've heard too many... Read More »
I Have Really Fine Hair, What Styles Do You Suggest?
Any style would look great on fine hair if you prepare the hair right. I suggest using mousse (it can give up to 150% more fullness), plus using the special powder at the root will give a great lift. Foam inserts may be used for an updo or hair extensions for hair down. Curling hair is a must for fine hair - curls create more volume Alina Karaman
Should I Bring My Wedding Dress to the Trial So You Will Have a Better Visual Idea?
Please don't bring the dress! We all want to see it but there is no need to see it in person for the trial purposes! But please have a photo, so we can have an inspiration for the overall style and hair accessories recommendations. Alina Karaman
Do You Have Enough Stylists to Handle Large Weddings?
The more people need services on the wedding day, the more stylists we have on board! The largest group we handled was about 13 people, everyone needed hair and makeup! We had 5 stylists. We usually aim to handle any size of a party to be done in no more than 4 hours. Alina Karaman
