Akis Arts Photography brings us a beautifully crafted piece of album delicate with its textures and earthy hues. With Athens, the capital and historical city of Greece as their wedding venue, join us as we enjoy every little detail of Vaggelis and Helena captured in this work of art.
Vaggelis and Helena met incidentally on the subway going for work. From there on, they started dating and their friendship developed into something more. Now, they are all ready to start their family of their own!
Beautiful close up shots of their possessions lay path for more cool pictures of our groom, Vaggelis. A more intimate shot of him getting reassurance from his mum in monotone set us for a hopeful and bright wedding start. Having planned together everything from start to finish, Vaggelis and Helena got their unique bond captured on their custom made wedding rings with their fingerprints and the date of their wedding carved inside.
Helena got a little selfie before her makeover. And the makeover result was just awesome. Looking great and slim in that lace bodice wedding dress, her muscle figures and beautiful tonned back was flaunt with a deep sexy cutout back. Looking edgy with her nose piercing, she was one bold unconventional bride in a ponytail!
The ceremony took place on a chapel on the mountains of Athens, between nature, as they both love nature. Meanwhile, everything was handmade for this unique day, from the wedding dress to the decoration and presents to the guests. A rustic flower bouquet which didn’t overwhelmed Helena really helped to pulled everything together in one piece.
Sachets of rice in cone shape burlaps were handed out to guests. Everyone was encouraged to throw the rice at the newlyweds during the dance of Isaiah in order for them to grow old together, grow common roots as the Greeks say. Since rice symbolises fertility and prosperity, throwing rice at a couple is seen as a way to wish them a happy and blessed life together and is an integral part of a Greek wedding. From a touching moment when the bride and groom make their first steps as a couple together, it has now become a teasing moment where rain of rice on their heads makes everyone laugh!
After the ceremony, Vaggelis and Helena took the opportunity to take some amazing images around mountain of Athens. With clever use of lighting , the backdrop became a muted piece, while the both of them stood out with a god like glow, mystical yet providing a dazzling warmth that sends flutters to all our hearts!
More burlap was to be seen at the reception. With more decorations everywhere, even the decorative tablecloth was in burlap! A simple yet elegant white four tiered wedding cake was at the center of the table. Linking arms and drinking from each other’s wineglass, they then proceeded to cut their cake.
The wedding dance was all sensual and romantic with the draperies and chandelier setup. Even the graceful embrace for that last part was all perfect! The guests also joined in the fun later on after their dinner, setting stage for more crazier and livelier tunes.
Ending with some more memorable and beautiful pictures of them, we can’t help but congratulate this lucky couple. Thanks again to Vaggelis and Helena for this awesome share.
