Therese and Christoffer Jacobsen were after a bespoke wedding experience. Hence, they chose beautiful Aurland for an intimate and relaxed backdrop for their wedding. From barn like inspired architecture to mossy hills, everything had a little fairytale touch to it, bringing this surreal wedding to life. Orange and grey are the most common colours around, dominating about 70 percent of the wedding. From the orange painted walls against the brownish doors towards the matching stationery set of this wedding, everything had that joyous and vibrant tone. Our beautiful bride Therese had her hair and makeup done before donning on her full-length sleeves wedding dress. Christoffer had this grey tie with navy suit and brown shoes. It was a perfect match make in heaven to have this two come together for this wedding.
Bakka church, in the tiny village of Bakka, is situated right at the waterfront of Nærøyfjorden. Beautiful for any wedding ceremony, it is a venue constantly bathing in the sunlight. To add to the atmosphere, the singer, Silje Søgnesand soothing vocals made the couple forget their surroundings. The wedding ceremony was exceptionally beautiful. Both of them had tears of joy in their eyes countless times. Walking down the aisle and receiving their families´ blessings outsafterwardards was nice and different – they were suddenly the center of the party all day long. Never before have they experienced this amount of focus and attention so it was a great experience! Soon after, the guests went on a cruise on Nærøyfjorden with local delicacies and local drinks while the couple were taking some time off with their photographer Christin. This time was the most intimate during the day and also the time they got to think about what just happened – they started the day as boyfriend and girlfriend and ending the day as husband and wife.
The wedding had a lot going on beforehand. The picturesque boutique bed and breakfast, 29|2 Aurland, tailored a wedding experience from Friday through Sunday for them and their closest friends. On Friday evening, the day before, they had a wedding reception in the courtyard with barbecued baby goats. On the big day, Saturday, their photographer, Christin Eide, came bright and early to capture the premarital emotions and excitement. Christin was a delight to have, she was everywhere all the time, but nobody noticed. When the pictures after the wedding came out, its astounding for both of them, both by the beauty of the shots, but also all the reactions, emotions and moments captured by her lens.
Meeting their family at beautiful 29|2 Aurland after the photo session, they had fun time playing garden games, taking polaroid photos and chatting. Afterwards, the dinner was prepared by local chefs, only using local organic ingredients and local drinks. 29|2 Aurland, and particularly the owner Tone made the whole weekend really special. Looking back, all the work for preparations, the bespoke agenda, and dinner, really was worth the hassle. The wedding was theirs and truly theirs only, with a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting and happy people. The photographer, Christin, made memorable moments for them that remain cherished forever.
Pastries and desserts were everywhere on the candy table. The wedding cake was simple with chocolate shreds and macarons on it. Family and guests gathered as speeches were given. Wine glasses were refilled, toasts were given and the party continued on late night with more dancing and celebration.
Thanks Therese and Christoffer for this beautiful album.
