A wedding doesn’t need to end short. Joshua D’hondt, the photographer anointed by Tamara and Guy, captured a weekend-long worth of pictures for Tamara and Guy’s wedding in Belgium. Starting off with a pink and blue 3-day wedding along the Belgian seaside, they continued on with a casual drink at Beach Bar d’O, Knokke on Friday, after having a legal wedding in Knokke. Held on the last weekend of July 2017, it was the day Tamara and Guy fully tie their knot as their friends, family, and daughter gather to witness this blissful union of these two.
Friday began just like any wedding day. Their daughter, Fleur was excited. Unable to hold her excitement, she was constantly around Tamara, at times shyly hiding behind her.
With one of a kind statement dress from Karolien Verstraeten, Tamara was not afraid to be bold in her choice of wardrobe. Even the hat she wore on Friday speaks volumes about Tamara’s character.
Friends and family reunite to celebrate this moment of happiness. Eagerly waiting for the wedding day itself, guests gather to mingle and talk while the girls were also having a fun time with Fleur reading out greetings.
On Saturday, Tamara & Guy got ready in separate places. Guy was prepping himself with his friends near Antwerp, and Tamara with her friends and flower girls (and boy) at the wedding venue, ‘Hoeve Cornilly’ in Damme, near Brugge.
At Saturday wedding, Tamara got ‘something old’ from her mom, a veil perfect for her yet another glamorous wedding dress. Below, you see her posing in style while waiting for her time to slip on her new dress.
The flower girls were all wearing ballerina-like white tulle skirts with simple white blouses from Sara Van den Heuvel, a dear friend of Tamara. Guy, meanwhile was looking smart in his suit. Looking neat and handsome, he and his grooms were all set for the wedding, taking turns to give their toasts to our groom, Guy.
After allowing Tamara and Guy to read their vows, he pronounced them husband and wife. Uncontrollably happy, Tamara and Guy hold hands as they and their daughter light a candle in the presence of their family and friends.
After that, the reception started in a tent, beautifully decorated with blue and pink flowers everywhere, with energetic music, fresh, amazing cocktails and another rainstorm. Although they just had enough time to make a few group shots before hell broke loose with incredible wind and rain, the pictures were wonderful. In an attempt to overpower the noise of the rain on the tent, the band, Le temps du Mois spiked their volume and their wedding planner Isabel D’Hulster, and her team worked hard to keep the tent and decoration and people safe from the wet weather.
The catering was provided by Silverspoon. Chocolates were provided as tokens of gratitude to guests while the reception table was decorated with beautiful pink yellow and purple flowers with picture frames of all kinds showcasing Tamara and Guy’s pictures.
Overall, it was a wedding that exceeds our expectations. Bright with its choice of colors for its theme, the groom and bride’s daring choice of fashion, as well as the cosy tent atmosphere, sets off a charming spell unlike any other. Thanks again to Tamara, Guy and their photographer for this beautiful album worthy of mention.
