Brought to you by Stanlo Photography and the La Bride team today is a couple from the Bahamas. Going with a classic vintage wedding theme, the wedding was held at Casa Al Mare, Yamacraw, Nassau, The Bahamas.
As fate may have it, Rashan Leticia Dean and Jamal Wallace have known each other for four years and have been in love for three years. In March 2011, Jamal patronized a gym at Mystical fitness with a friend/coworker of his. As he walked in, he saw this ‘lil peach’. It was love at first sight. Somehow, his coworker managed to get Rashan’s number first. Jamal was dissatisfied and soon made a bold move by leaving his phone and asked Rashan for her number too. Since then, their friendship developed. When Rashan left for Med school later on, he totally lost contact with her.
It was not until May 2012, when Rahan was home for summer break that she spotted a Jamal lookalike. Immediately, she sourced her best friend to contact him. Slowly, they worked on a relationship between them. Months past and after much bonding time, they decided to make it official in August 13, 2012. Bravely, they took on this long distance relationship (LDR) and do all in their power to make it work. Passing through challenges and obstacles fortified their strength.
During an annual New Year’s family function in 2015, a family friend started serenading Rashan out of the blue and leading her the outside. The place was all white adorned with icicle lights. With a choked up voice, Jamal knelt down and proposed to Rashan.
For Rahsan and Jamal, constant renewal and daily mutual expression of love is important. They realized that it is a full time job where they actively commit to each other daily. The most memorable thing on their wedding was saying I do and hearing it in return. It was a moment to share their commitment publicly with family and friends whom they love, and of course the celebration that follows.
The La bride team is honoured to feature such a lovely couple. May Rashan and Jamal share everlasting love with each other as long as they live!
