With an artistic and unusual flair, Emin Kuliyev brings us a pre-wedding album of our wedding duo, Qianqian and Ming set amid some of New York’s best skyscrapers landscape. Both originally from Hong Kong, they intended to portray their love in a city that never sleeps, a city that is grand and beautiful just like Hong Kong. Join us as we discover the mystifying and dramatic moments captured here.
Shots were cleverly taken from different angles, through transparent objects, distorted perspectives and frames, behind a trail of hair spray, creating bizarre photos that questions their positions in the picture as well as where the photo starts and end.
Vertical lines, monotone colours and topsy-turvy streets make the buildings and street sturdy. Occasionally, it creates isometric imaginations and 3 point perspective images usually unfathomable dimensionally by the eye.
Not to forget some intimate shots that capture the essence of love, whether in a vehicle, among the busy crowded streets or right behind some child onlookers in a shopping mall.
Golden hued trees enshrined some of the pictures in this album, adding more warmth and colour. Photos were tweaked and manipulated in contrast and some background were in deep blue. The leaves on the tree stood before more volumetric light, illuminating our bride Qianqian’s dress in a warm glow.
Some trees were added as silhouettes to frame the couple against the setting sun.
Meanwhile reflections and night lights of the city added the romantic touch for the last few pictures. We even have a magnificent shadow cast over their room!
Thanks again to our lovely couple and their amazing photographer! Truly a work of art!
