“Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.”
— Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
To be quite honest, we here at La Bride love a small and intimate wedding nearly (if not more), than a spectacular affair. There’s something about the pure love and romance that emanates from the bride and groom as they’re surrounded by just a few of their closest friends and family. With the help from photographer Robert Pljuscec, who prides his photography on being natural and candid, the eternal tying of the knot between Jason and Almond comes to life.
With details of burlap and lace and a colour scheme of whites and lush greens, the small stone house that is nestled amongst olive groves made for the perfect backdrop for this breathtaking Mediterranean wedding on the island of Brac, Croatia, which is known for it’s white, pebble beach nicknamed the Golden Cape. It was on this island, surrounded by floral designs from Runolist where Jason and Almond swore their lasting love for one another.
Since the couple are both from China, but currently living in the United States, their day was helped made possible by well-known wedding planner Maja Juric. Maja has had a fair share of wedding planning, and Jason and Almond’s small and intimate affair leaves us with no doubt that the work of Weddings Croatia is simply gorgeous each and every time.
Almond’s flower girls wore beautiful bohemian dresses that blended seamlessly with the surroundings. The gorgeous bride was a pure vision in her Grecian inspired dress, especially as she made her way down the aisle to the music of a solo violinist.
As the man behind the camera loves nature and loves to incorporate our world into his photos, the relaxed nature of both Almond and Jason helped Robert incorporate what he loves most into his photos — and it is clear that getting the perfect shot was not difficult! With traditional fig trees, abandoned stone fences, and wild vineyards paired together with a pink sunset, everything really made for the most memorable photo keepsakes.
Reminiscent of Alice’s tea party — Jason and Almond chose to go with a small garden set-up adorned with romantic candle lights and paper lanterns, accompanied by dinner consisting of local product of fish and meat sourced from local farers. This fresh and simple wedding dinner couldn’t have been more perfect to end a romantic and relaxing Croatian wedding day.
