It’s possible to meet your loved one through a common friend. Here is a story of In Sun Moon and Andy Jung, brought to you by the talented We Are Origami Photography. A couple who met under unusual circumstances and are here now wedded happily.
It was 5 AM in the morning when Andy called Moon and insisted on going to watch the sunrise at Coogee beach. Andy was so stressed about missing the sunrise although she kept telling him that they can watch it on new years day. When they got to the beach, they arrived just in time and stood at the platform at Coogee beach to watch the sunrise. Suddenly, Andy hugged Moon from behind. Then, he whispered his speech about their futures together… when Moon turned around, he knelt on his one knee and asked Moon to marry him. Moon was absolutely surprised and her heart was pounding so much!!! Bursted out laughing, Moon was happy and delightful. Andy, however, was shaking his hands so much that Moon started to worry whether he will drop the ring box. And all of this happened when behind Andy was this random guy who was sleeping on the beach. He was probably trying his best to not move cause it was such an awkward moment to get up and walk away.
They were both quite relaxed with the whole classic wedding preparation until two weeks before the wedding where they had to finalise minor details. They had their first reception venue visit at Curzon hall and booked the date with them within a few days. Andy was a big yes man so overall, they didn’t have much conflict in making decisions about wedding details. Except the invitation cards, all the stationery was designed by Andy and the bonbonnieres were hand-made by both of them. Although they underestimated the time for making bonbonnieres and it became a stressful task closer to the date, it was still meaningful.
For Moon and Andy, their wedding day felt like a midsummer night’s dream. It went so quickly and it ended before they knew it. It was a day full of joy and love and they felt so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people and amazing talents. Andy’s sister and Moon’s friend, Peace organised a church choir and played the songs for the wedding mass so beautifully. When the time arrived, Moon walked down the aisle with a dress made by her cousin and her husband who made her dream wedding dress as a wedding present. Afterall, It was Andy’s request to have Moon in a puffy wedding dress.
Andy and Moon are so thankful to have their bridal party which helped them survive the hot day with drinks and manual fanning. They were also extremely lucky to have such wonderful friends who kindly agreed to be the MCs for the reception and took care of every little detail of their reception. Their extended family from Korea, including Andy’s both grandmothers, flew from Korea to celebrate the day with them. It was an eventful day, as well as a meaningful one for both of them.
It was a lovely wedding. Although everything seemed daunting at first, with the preparations and all, Andy and Moon managed to accomplish it together as one. Let’s wish them all the best in their lives ahead.
