What should the Couple Prepare before They Meet the Wedding Planner?
Bring an open mind when you meet a wedding planner – if you’ve never planned a wedding before, there might just be a thing or two that will surprise you. If the planner is telling you the truth about the budget, that’s a great thing. If they say a certain flower isn’t going to be available for your wedding date, they aren’t trying annoy you. They are just trying to help.
Have some idea of guest count and budget – this becomes the framework for any wedding.
Bring a list of questions – as the planner what do you love about working with couples? what would you say is your style? how do you like best to work with couples, etc.? This will give you a sense if you and the planner are going to be a good fit.
Have a look through the planner’s website, Instagram, Facebook ,etc. See if there’s anything that catches your eye. I’ve been hired because a couple sees something that they like in my previous work.
