B.D.F.K. Photography and La Bride brings you Heidi and Daniel’s wedding in Canada. A wedding with an assemble bound to melt your heart! The ceremony was held at Riverside Golf Course in Valleyview, Alberta and the reception was held at Valleyview Memorial Hall, both places unusual yet holding a special meaning to them.
Everything started from bonspiels. Three years ago, Heidi was invited by her best friend Charlene to join her in the valleyview’s ladies bonspiel. Since by no means she was not an excellent curler, Heidi was highly skeptical about attending. However, things changed after a little persuasion and she was fully on board. The bonspiel kicked off on Thursday night and on Saturday evening there was a dinner and a talent/lip sync show at the rink. What started of as a thoughtless act became a good opportunity when she met Daniel here!
To add in to the fun, each team in the bonspiel was also given a task this year – to sell raffle tickets. After the dinner ended, they headed back over to the curling rink to watch a few more games and sell the raffle tickets. With busy flow that evening, who knew in a small town the curling rink was the place to be?
Our groom, Daniel so happened stopped by for a drink after a full day of working, despite previously not planning to. Selling raffle tickets made them came across Daniel soon enough. Charlene who was more than excited to introduce Daniel to Heidi started asking him some ‘prerequisite’ questions. ‘Do you have your own house? Do you have your own car? Do you work full time? It was all a yes. Then came a tougher question,’what do you do for fun?- Dan explained he is running in the the death race that summer and he had a love for snowboarding. It ended with the last and most important question – ‘Do you have a dog?’ Dan of course exclaimed ‘yes!’ and told the amazing story of his snare dog. Ending the quetioning, Charlene came over and told Heidi she had to meet someone and Heidi was so happy she did.
The weddding day started with Heidi preparing just like any other bride. After all the makeup and help from her bridesmaid, a beautiful brunette with undiluting waves of hair locks emerged in front of us in a sweetheart scalloped neckline dress with a little bling sash. Helping both her mum and dad with their corsage, you can even catch a glimpse of her dad getting a little teary.
The ceremony at Riverside Golf Course was beautiful. Guests were invited to gather at a shady area to witness them tying their knot. Lead down by her dad, they headed to the center where underneath the white frame stood Daniel, waiting patiently for his bride. A warm embrace was handed over by Heidi’s dad before they stood facing each other holding hands, finally heartened at the arrival of this grand day.
Each was given an amount of time to read their vows. It was an enjoyable moment where everyone got to witness them getting together. After exchanging their rings and a long and sweet kiss, an amazing bridal shot of the bridesmaid jumping with their flowers thrown into the sky was then captured before everyone left for the reception.
With extra time allocated, Heidi and Daniel went along with more intimate shots around the golf course. From beautiful high trees, red filtered lens shoot of their passionate embrace, monochrome top shots of them on gravel stones to beautiful sunset skies, every single backdrop was carefully thought of and frames to create a stunning wedding album.
Thanks again to Heidi and Daniel for the beautiful album of pictures and the bonspiel share! La Bride wishes you guys all the best!
