This beautiful and highly emotional wedding of Kimberly and Dustin in California comes with all the important wedding highlights: tears and laughs, drinking and dancing, one awesome tiered cake and heaps of fun. The wedding photographer was Dave Donovan Photography and today we have the blushing bride herself, Kimberly, telling La Bride more about this DIY wedding on a romantic and wonderful day.
“We moved to California from the Midwest in 2013 and fell in love with the west coast. Dustin proposed on a road trip down US-1, the coastal highway, and we planned for a spring wedding.”
“It was important to us for our wedding to have a real ‘California’ feel since we were asking most of our friends and family to travel here for the first time.”
“We got incredibly lucky with the weather – we were blessed with a sunny, warm day in what had promised to be a very wet season.”
“The first thing we did was secure a venue, a unique art gallery in Sausalito. Studio 333 was the perfect place for our wedding because of its location in picturesque Marin County and because we were allowed to stock the bar with beer, we had been collecting from California breweries for our special day.”
“Our wedding is one of our proudest accomplishments as a couple because we were able to pull off the planning and execution on our own, which made the celebration all the more rewarding.”
