Unlike everyone else in the northern hemisphere, Australia welcomes Christmas in the summer. December approaches Sydney with warmth as the La Bridal Shoot team headed down to Bankstown to visit the Australia Aviation Museum for our monthly style shoot. This time our theme is Christmas! Thanks Puregraphy for the stylish photography and Le Motion for the video.
We arrived at our shooting location, wowed by the collection of planes and their rich histories. Old flighter jets and biplanes, we were in a Pearl harbour movie, short of Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale. Although our model, Jacqui Guiking might be a close second. :p
It’s probably not the best idea to be amongst metal and concrete outdoors approaching summer, especially under the notorious Australian sun. But we were blessed with a cloudy day that diffused any harsh rays from the sun.
One might credit the nice summer breeze if didn’t cause the props team a headache every time it toppled the Christmas tree at every blow. In spite of everything, the props team pulled through and gave us amazing set that accurately harnessed the spirit of Christmas in summer.
Long life flowers bearing the colours of Christmas. Round of applause for our amazing The Vintage Co. Wedding and Floroma Flower.
Despite all the trouble the props team went through, would we, however have been able to get such dynamic pictures without our natural wind machine? Wind. Friend or foe? One of La Bride’s great unanswered questions.
Inspired by the movie, D’Makeup Station styled our model’s hair in the classic elegance of Kate Beckinsale in Pearl Harbour. Big shout to Vows Bridal Boutique for supplying the gowns for the theme.
Evening came around and it was time for the museum to close up shop and for the La Bridal Shoot team to take off. A big thanks to everybody who made this La Bridal Shoot a reality. Remember to keep up with more of our blog posts as we bring you more wedding inspiration!
