Surrounded by close family and friends, Alice and Tyler were married in a beautiful service in picturesque traditional Japanese Gardens in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Northern California. JJ Chen Photography was lucky to be there, and even in the light rain, they captured some lovely shots of this romantic forest wedding. La Bride welcomes you to this wedding too!
The wedding took place at the Redwood Ridge Estate, nestled in the redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Northern California, overlooking both Monterey Bay and Santa Clara Valley.
Taking portrait shots of both the bride and groom as they prepare is a wonderful way for the couple to have something to look back on, to be able to recall what they were feeling just before they became husband and wife.
A little bit of rain never hurt a garden wedding! In fact, it even makes it more memorable.
“We had great fun shooting this beautiful wedding at Hakone Japanese Garden and Redwood Ridge Estate Winery! It was raining during the wedding, which added lots of soft romantic feelings” – JJ Chen Photography
The bride had a gown change before the reception into beautiful pink tones, perfectly matching the flowers dotted around the reception.
Purple Elephant created the amazing, and yummy, cake. Adorned with fresh flowers from florist Thistle & Bone, this wedding cake is an impressive centrepiece that brings all the wedding elements and colour palate together.
