La Bride is here to deliver a delightful piece by The Missing Pieces for today, a contemporary yet personalized prewedding album of Xue Yi and Elizabeth, a Singapore couple. Two different locations were chosen for their shoot, Bedok Reservoir Park and Gardens by the Bay. Bedok was a fun place sprouting with lush greens while Gardens by the Bay delivered more romantic and luminescent shots.
Xue Yi and Elizabeth met in school when they were studying in NUS. Taking different majors, they were not classmates, nor were they introduced by a mutual friend at a gathering or group activity. Both health conscious and disciplined, they actually met on the running tracks on one of their regular running sessions!
Singaporean stereotypes of hardworking and seriousness might be what you portray them at first, but once you take a closer glimpse at their pictures, there is more to their character than bookishness. With the most cheerful and heartwarming smiles, they never fail to surprise us with their most natural selves, confidently and comfortably creating fun and interactive poses at places where they are familiar.
The first shoot was in Bedok Reservoir Park. Located in the north of Bedok New Town, it’s well-known among joggers and water sport enthusiasts in eastern Singapore and it was a place that often spots a great weather and scenery. That’s why Xue Yi and Elizabeth have fond memories here, having picnics, a stroll and a regular run.
For the night session, they did a flower dome shoot at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore’s awe-inspiring 101 hectare garden. Set in the city, it comprises of three waterfront gardens with the infamous supertrees as the main attraction. Since they frequently visit this spot as well, they even had season passes beforehand to the domes! The last shot was at the supertree when the daily light and music show was played.
Overall, it was an entertaining album that’s sweet and lovely. Thanks again to Xue Yi and Elizabeth for this cheerful piece.
