South Africa, this beautiful land is said to be “one world in one country”. But why do we say that? You’d know as soon as you step into the country. In the capital, Cape Town, the busy and modern streets are captivating. In Natal, the view is a limitless beach and a dense forest and of course many wild animals traipsing about.
Today La Bride is proud to be sharing with you this wedding held in South Africa of Charlas and Gia and photographed by The Stage.
This pair of newlyweds, Charlas and Gia, have a very different idea for their wedding. Instead of holding a show of a wedding for everyone else to see, they wanted an out of the box idea just for themselves. That is why from the moment they planned their wedding, to taking their first steps in Africa, it took a year of consideration. Stepping onto African soil was unreal for all of them, it was as if they’d stepped into a different world.
Driving around on their custom Jeep, looking to see different animals on the grassland, using their sense to experience this natural survivor’s world. Only until the morning of their wedding, did the couple decide of their ceremony location. As they step out of their room, they are greeted by the gentle sun, on the endless African plane, they lay out the tables, the wedding cake and the champagne… There are no guests, no wedding stylists, in that moment they are only there for each other.
As they exchanged their wedding rings they shared the most honest and natural laughters. South Africa is now a place that belonged to them, a place where they made an impressionable memory with each other.
