Q: Hi Alvin, we understand that wedding cinematography studios such as yours aim to build good relations with your clients. We’d like to know more about you from your perspective. Would you care to introduce yourself to us?
A: Our company ventured into the wedding industry about eight years ago. With passion, diligence and a lot of enthusiasm, we have managed to deliver videos that fully depict our creativity, innovative style and artistic diversity. As a team, we are in a relentless quest to raise the bar higher. We are a group of dedicated artists who thrive to share love stories, and we consider it a great honor to be a part of them.
Every story is worth sharing and that is Mayad’s main obsession. We started with a dream: to be able to capture beautiful life changing moments in people’s lives. We take pride in knowing that these moments will not only be embedded in the hearts of
the family, but can be enjoyed, appreciated and adored for generations to come. From the magic of falling in love to the majestic celebrations of welcoming a new part of the family, we love to be the ones to capture these priceless moments with you. We hold these important events dear to our own hearts as we consider ourselves a part of your journey.
Q: What does cinematography mean to you?
A: Cinematography is an art. For Mayad, we have always practiced consistency with our cinematography as it speaks for all our work.
Q: Can you describe to us the services of Mayad?
A: For Mayad, we started with videography and it gave way to photography, so that love could also be immortalized as stills alongside moving images. This role made Mayad constant in the lives of couples, and as the years went by, it would no longer be enough to stop at ‘I do.’ So Mayad took another step, and began recording and replaying another one of the days treasured in marriage: the miracle of a new life.
Big or small, there are moments in life that matter. This is a belief that Mayad holds close. The adventures that every day brings is always worth the capture, and for Mayad, no destination is too far if it means being there to capture it for you. For Mayad, no effort is too much if it means journeying through life’s milestones with you.
And so, eight years after the seed of a dream, Mayad Studios is more than a team of videographers and photographers who turn moments of life into works of art. Mayad Studios is also a reminder – that every pivotal moment in life is filled with love, and that there is always somebody ready to capture that love for you.
Q: You’ve been through many weddings as a cinematographer, which part of a wedding do you pay most attention to?
A: We believe that there is importance in every detail and we highlight the beauty that needs to be seen. From the preparation, wedding details, the surroundings, the people involved, walking down the isle, saying I do, the first kiss as a married couple, the first dance, the speeches and etc; everything is worth documenting as it is the best day of their lives and no happening should be missed.
Q: We understand that you offer your services internationally, by far, which are the most impressive overseas wedding you’ve been?
A: we’ve been invited from all around the world. From Fiji, Bali, Africa, India Maldives, Australia, London, China etc. and every location hold such memory in our hearts that we will never forget. Especially the most intimate weddings as it is a reminder for us why we are doing what we do. But for specifics, we love the tradition displayed in our Africa wedding, the grandeur of our India wedding, the royalty of our London wedding, the atmosphere of our Fiji wedding and the intimacy of our Maldives wedding.
Q: You’ve been invited as speakers overseas at photography and videography events such as WEVA and Exposed Down Under. What is your experience at these events?
A: As we teach and share our experiences during these events, we also acquire knowledge from different vendors and get inspiration to be able to aspire more. It is an overwhelming feeling to be able to be with such talented human beings and an honor to be friends with most of them.
Q: Do you have any advice for young cinematographers?
A: We’ve said it again and again, inspire and aspire. Challenge yourself each day to reach greater heights and love what you do as it will manifest in your work.
