Iceland need not be all about auroras and winter. Having a wedding in Iceland during the brighter and sunnier terms could be a dream and travel come true! Edwin Tan Photography brings us a wedding album that’s astounding, captivating our hearts. Joanne and Miki, the brave couple who pull through all of this is the star of our day!
The couple visited Snaefellsnes Peninsula, a region in western Iceland known for its dramatic landscapes. Our couple was also lucky to encounter Icelandic horses nearby. Icelandic horses are direct descendants of the horses which the Vikings brought with them to Iceland, so they look majestic with their shiny fur. A nice interaction photo of our bride with one of the white horses creates a beautiful fairytale like picture.
What about discovering trails just like Alice in Wonderland? Our bride, Joanne looks the part with her beautiful white lacy dress and crown in this shot. Snaefellsnes Peninsula also has beautiful mossy rock formations that shine beautifully golden. Roundly curved into different shapes and patterns, it creates a subtle flow that guides the viewer to our bride wearing white with her crown and her lamp.
Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón) is another place visited by our couple. With transparent and beautiful ice rock formations around the lagoon, our bride walks slowly, holding her long wedding trail and even sitting on one of the ice rock formations for a goddess pose photo! Waves come crashing behind the ice rock formation and the view beyond the black sand is fantastic.
Vik Black Beaches is the next stop. Wearing a striking red this time, Joanne’s dress was a flame, contrasting against the monotone dull basalt rock formation that sticks out of the sea, called Reynisdrangar. Vik black beach is also the wettest place in Iceland alluring people and our couple in this cave with its hidden caves and folklore stories. Forming staircase-like steps up the hill, these rocks give the massive dramatic structure one would expect of a volcanic Iceland terrain.
And taking your wedding photo on the streets is an in thing too! If you are taking in Iceland of course! Here, our bride Joanne wears a striking dress with a black, cold shoulder top with light bubblegum pink voluminous puffy skirts. The appealing clouds created an overcast and shadow against the mountains and our bride and groom look beautiful just walking down any of these streets.
Thanks to Edwin Tan Photography and our couple, Joanne and Miki for this wondrous sight and album. Iceland has much to offer for a wedding shoot, so brides out there, do book your ticket there if basalt columns of volcanic terrain and beauitful lush fairytale landscape are your thing!
