This wedding of Jason and Cathy in Montreal has such a wonderful, and different quality about it. Kapetanakis Studio photography have captured some truly great moments, all with a distinct use of shadow, colours, lighting and focus in a romantic setting.
The photographer says, “A lovely couple with great friends and family that I’m more than grateful to convert their spontaneity of their touching moments into timeless images which they look back on for years to come.”
Cathy tells it like this………
“Well, my story is not as usual and romantic as most love stories that you might have heard. I first met Jason in a funeral 8 years ago on Valentine’s Day! A common friend of us had passed away and both of us-without knowing each other up to that moment- went to the funeral.”
“The atmosphere was heavy and all we felt was sorrow and sadness. At the end of the ceremony, as all were walking towards the exit of the graveyard, my eye caught the wallet of a man falling from his pocket on the ground. I picked it up and run behind the man shouting of him: “Sir wait! I have your wallet!”
And then was the moment that we looked each other in the eyes! My thought was that he looked just very handsome and interesting but nothing more. I gave him his wallet, he thanked me for and our ways were separated.”
“The same evening one of my friends called me to have a glass of wine together in a bar located nearby. When I entered the bar, I saw Jason having a drink with his friends. We were looking each other all night without saying any word.”
“Finally, he came close to me and asked me for my phone number. That was the beginning of a wonderful love relationship lasting 8 years now.”
“A summer evening three years ago, I had just returned home from my work and needed a bath as I was very tired. When I entered the bathroom I read on the mirror written by red crayon: ‘Will you marry me?’ ”
“The Wedding between Cathy & Jason in Montreal was truly a memorable wedding to shoot. They are both very well suited and I very much enjoyed capturing events on their big day. It took place at the amazing reception hall Buffet Marina in downtown, which was decorated with stunning details creating a romantic and fairy atmosphere.” Kapetanakis Studio
“The wedding party was such a fun to shoot. All the guests burst out singing and dancing having a really blast while I was capturing their truly spontaneously emotions.” Kapetanakis Studio
